Since C2 class drones are currently not yet available on the market, the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport has passed exemption for the commercial operation in the ‘open’ category, subcategory A2. This enables the operators of texisting drones’, which are not used for sporting or recreational purposes, to reduce the minimum horizontal distance from uninvolved persons.
